One-Man Star Wars® Trilogy brings the force to Toronto April 27 through May 1

By | One Man | No Comments

Toronto, ON – Starvox Entertainment is thrilled to announce the force will be with Star Wars fans on stage this spring with the One-Man Star Wars® Trilogy show, written and performed solely by comedian and actor Charles Ross. The production will be on stage from Thursday, April 28 through Sunday, May 1 at the Bluma Appel Theatre (27 Front St. E.) in Toronto.

Tickets go on sale Feb. 10 at 10 a.m. at www.ticketmaster.ca.

Suitable for Star Wars fans from ages six to Yoda, the One-Man Star Wars® Trilogy is a hysterical performance based on the original Star Wars films – Star Wars: A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

“One-Man Star Wars Trilogy will offer patrons an intergalactic adventure in a theatre setting,” said Corey Ross, president of Starvox Entertainment. “The show pays tribute to a cultural phenomenon that has great appeal to fans both young and old, and we are excited to bring this show to Toronto audiences.”

Much of Charles Ross’ childhood was spent in a galaxy far, far away, watching Star Wars videos over and over again. Ross confesses to having seen Star Wars: A New Hope more than 400 times while growing up.

The result of this ‘misspent’ youth is the creation of his hilarious One-Man Star Wars® Trilogy show, where Ross single-handedly plays all the characters with spot-on voice impressions, sings the music, flies the ships, fights the battles and condenses the plots of the three films into one hilarious production.

Tickets to One-Man Star Wars® Trilogy range in price from $39.95 to $79.95 and go on sale Wednesday, Feb. 10 at 10 a.m. at www.ticketmaster.ca or by phone at 1-855-985-5000.

April 28 and 29 shows are at 8 p.m., April 30 shows are at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., and May 1 shows are at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.

What’s up with Down Under

Australia 2011?

You have to be kidding?

You, who?

Yoo hoo?

No. You. Who.

beside myself

Okay, enough of that- I finally get to tour One Man Lord of the Rings down under. I’ve had three tours of One Man Star Wars around Oz, and every time I’ve flown away I wonder: “will I ever see Australia again?”

Australia is actually bigger that this. And not as uniformly wet.

Australia is actually bigger that this. And not as uniformly wet.

The answer is yes.

And let me just say that if you’ve never been, GO!

Now! Book your ticket!

Yes, there are dozens of animal species that can kill you just by thinking about it, like:

Death Adder- only poisonous to "living" things.

The Devil Faced Death Adder- only poisonous to “living” things.

Flying Lions- A type of bat with a 40 metre wingspan.

Flying Lions- A type of bat with a 40 metre wingspan. They eat fruit mostly. And people.

or

Flying Spiders- but don't be worried, they're mostly found outdoors, except for the indoor ones.

Leaping Leopard Spiders- but don’t be worried, they’re mostly found outdoors. Except for the indoor ones.

the dreaded

Vampire Bears. Scary, but tasty.

Vampire “Satan” Bears. Scary, but tasty.

and finally the vicious:

Razor-backed Rabbit- as you can see they had me surrounded.

Razor-backed Rabbits- as you can see they had me surrounded. Also delicious.

Still, most wild/domestic animals won’t attack/maim/eat you, unless they’re hungry, threatened, alone, or with others.

So there’s nothing to be afraid of.

Plus, if you find yourself in anyway uncomfortable it’s best to carry

A Broadsword- just make sure to check it before you fly.

A Broadsword- just make sure to check it before you fly.

Life, in Australia, is a lot like anywhere else in Canada.

The major exception being Skydiving, which is slightly more hazardous there, than in Canada.

No worries, this is just a small one at the public pool.

Flying Crocs. Again, no worries, this is just a small one at a public pool. Hey, this is a dangerous-ish animal too, right? I forgot. Yeah, these can kill you too. But only if you see one. Or it sees you. Then you’re dead for sure. So, be careful.

Enough of the animals- I’m talking about the tour.

Once again, the mild mannered master, Tim Woods

Tim and Moi

Tim and Moi

is Producer of this our 4th tour together. You may have heard of his company Tim Woods’ Productions.

We’re all over the place: Hobart (TAZMANIA!), Adelaide, Perth, Canberra, Sydney (AT THE SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE!!!), Melbourne and Brisbane. Even in my most intoxicated moments, I never thought I’d get the chance to perform at the Sydney Opera House.

Of course, at this point I would have believed anything.

Of course, at this point I would have believed anything.

I can’t wait. Even though I have to.

I will keep you up to date. And I’ll see you down there.
